The Kitsap Paladins, er, Kitsap Pumas, or the Kitsap Whatevers are moving along as the United Soccer League's Premier Development League franchise prepares for its inaugural season.
The online name-the-team contest runs through Saturday.
"We've had over 100 suggested," said owner Robin Waite, a former Eastside resident who now lives in Tracyton. "Some good, some not so good. The names are sort of enlightening. I learned something about Bremerton. Somebody recommended Bremalos. I never heard that expression before. You learn something everyday."
On a serious note, he said two of the club's four suggested names — Pumas and Paladins — are the leading vote-getters.
